SITE DIARY PROJECT

Year 2

The Site Diary module involved the analysis of a live construction environment in London,
with a focus on understanding how design concepts are translated into built form through technical processes and on-site decision-making.

I was responsible for independently contacting active sites, arranging multiple visits, and recording construction progress over time.
My site diary documents a series of construction stages of a chosen element that was being built, in my case the roof loft.

The study includes annotated photographs, hand-drawn site sketches, and visual breakdowns of sequencing, material junctions, and safety considerations.

The aim was to develop an integrated understanding of how architecture functions at the level of logistics, structural order,
site management, and real-world constraints bridging the gap between academic design and professional practice.
